“Deja Blu went out of their way to learn songs for us and to travel down to our small hometown to play for our event. I enjoyed working with these guys so much- I spent an hour talking to Liz, the lead singer, the first time that we spoke. We clicked. It was a great match. We had a blast at our reception- people danced (I mean people that I was not sure could handle dancing that long) even until the end. My husband even danced more than just the first dance- and he doesn’t even like to dance! It meant so much that they worked so hard and really worked to meet our requests. The band traveled down to Salida, Colorado on a sun-filled, warm weekend in July. Rick & Lindsey’s wedding reception was pure magic. I had never played the Steamplant Event Center and was amazed to find such a great wedding reception venue tucked away in a small town. The bride and groom had a New Orleans themed wedding reception and the band learned a beautiful new song “Home” for the first dance. I worked with wedding planner Katja Dietze. What an amazing event planner she is and so easy to work with! We had the guests on the dance floor from the very first song until they turned the lights off. I emceed the wedding, announcing the toasts, cake cutting, father-daughter dance and first dance. This is a service that is included in our Royal Blu package which is our most popular package requested.
